Recipe Play Dough! Easy, Simple And Surprisingly Great Learning Fun!"

Recipe Play Dough

It's a great aid to playfully improve your child's fine motor skills. Stated differently, it's great to boost hand muscles and finger & hand skills.

What's more, is easy and cheap to make and a simple, yet very effective learning aid. You'd be crazy to not give it a try.

I found it great for kids 2-10 years old.

Play Dough Learning Tips

Let your child try this on the play dough...

  • Roll
  • Pinch
  • Press
  • Mould
  • Knead
  • Cut with scissors
  • Make forms & shapes
  • Paint it with food coloring
  • Make permanent shapes by drying
  • ... even eat it!
  • Hey, it's edible!

    Edible Play Dough Recipe

  • 2 cups flour (~500ml)
  • 1 cup salt (~250ml)
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil (~50ml)
  • 3 tablespoons cream of tartar (~50ml)
  • 1 teaspoon food coloring (~5ml)
  • 2 cups boiling water (~500ml)
  • Play Dough Instructions

Mix flour, salt, oil and coloring in a bowl.

    Add boiling water.

Mix very well until lumps are formed.

    Cool down.

Knead play dough until smooth (~10min).

Store in air tight containers. I've found it'll last up to 6 months when stored in a cool place. But don't freeze!
